How do you take care of orchids especially if you don't have the "green thumb"? - green orchids

My mother is a lover of orchids, but after buying some, and it actually increased, so that flowers and others are expected to germinate. Nothing has happened and I was wondering if anyone any advice for you, or advised or facts?
